Good news for the customers of Honda Atlas as the car assembler delivering cars to customers and in continuous connection with them to deliver their orders. The company was forced to shut down its production due to the non-availability of raw materials and no Letters of Credit (LCs) by the State Bank of Pakistan. But It’s commendable that Honda went the extra mile to resume operations and serve its customers during the economic crisis.

Despite these challenges, Honda made concerted efforts to overcome the obstacles and ensure that their customers were not left stranded. This commitment exemplifies Honda’s dedication to its customers and its willingness to navigate difficult circumstances, showcasing their resilience and determination to continue providing quality products and services. And now it seems that Honda has resolved these issues and announced the resumption of its operations.

“In a statement, the company thanked its customers for their patience during this tough time. The company added, “Thanks to the government and all stakeholders for their resolve. “It further said that Honda is currently delivering cars to customers across the country. Furthermore, the company is in continuous touch with customers to update their bookings status.

It is pertinent to mention that the company has announced repeated shutdowns this year due to issues like LC / Parts Shortage. The first production-shutdown episode incepted from March 9 to 31st. In the next notification, Honda extended the production from April 1 to 15. And then, another circular stated that the episode would be continued from April 16 to 30. In another notification, Honda Atlas announced the production cut from May 1 to May 15.

Honda Sales

The announcement is surely a breath of fresh air for the local auto industry because Honda is one of the oldest and biggest car companies in Pakistan. The production by this company is a major setback for both market and consumers. Due to these repeated shutdowns, the sales of the company have faced a serious hit and it is shown by PAMA numbers. Although the sales were increased by 253%, but the actual number shows that it sold only 307 units last month compared to 87 units in May 2023.

Hopefully, the production of Honda would continue and doesn’t face another lag because the smooth production means smooth sales, which is an excellent sign for the whole market & Honda Lovers in Pakistan.
