The 2nd Generation Mitsubishi Pajero was introduced in 1991. The 1991 Mitsubishi Pajero is a front engine four wheel drive subcompact Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV). The Mitsubishi Pajero is available in 2 versions 3-door SUV and 5-door SUV. The 1991 Mitsubishi Pajero is also available in 3 variants JS, XS and ZS. The price of the Mitsubishi Pajero 1991 was competitive when compared with other cars of the same type and size in the local market.

The exterior of the 2nd Generation 1991 Mitsubishi Pajero features a restrained and minimalistic design language. The front end houses rectangular styled side swept headlights with circular inserts, a large chrome rectangular grille and an outward sticking bumper. The rear end houses stacked vertical side swept taillights, the spare wheels and swing out door. The 5-door SUV variant features identical styling apart from being slightly longer in order to accommodate the rear doors. All variants of the Mitsubishi Pajero feature identical styling. The overall exterior of the 2nd Generation Mitsubishi Pajero features a fairly minimalistic design language that is familiar for an SUV designed in the early nineties. Options include a roof rail.

The interior of the Mitsubishi Pajero 2nd Generation features the use of black plastic trim pieces. The front and rear seats are covered in fabric. Standard features include, power steering, power lock doors, a stereo speaker audio system, air conditioning, and a tachometer. Features on the higher end XS include power windows, front fog lights and cassette input on the stereo speaker audio system. The higher end ZS includes a sunroof as standard, power lock doors and keyless entry. Options include a sunroof, leather upholstery, climate control, satellite navigation and front electric seats. The overall interior of the 1991 Mitsubishi Pajero features a good amount of space for an SUV of its exterior dimensions, it also offers a below par level of comfort and interior refinement.
