The 4th Generation Mercedes C-Class was introduced in 2014. The 4th Generation C-Class is a front engine rear/four wheel drive subcompact luxury sedan. The Mercedes C-Class 4th Generation is the first car to use the all new Modular Rear-Wheel Drive Architecture, which results in it weighing in 100kilograms less than the 3rd Generation Mercedes C-Class.

The 4th Generation C-Class features a brand new design language that is similar to what is implemented on the popular 2016 Mercedes S-Class. The exterior of 4th Generation Mercedes C-Class features a unique design language. The front end houses sleek, angular trapezium, styled side swept headlights, a chrome grille, and a trapezium air intake. The rear end houses angular side swept trapezium taillights and dual sport exhaust tips. The C63 AMG and C63 AMG S variants of Mercedes C-Class feature more aggressive and sporty styling. The front end houses a larger front bumper with triple incorporated air intakes and a front splitter. The sides houses flared wheel arches, larger brakes, and AMG wheels. The rear end houses a larger rear bumper, a rear diffuser, a sports exhaust system and a lip spoiler. The interior of the 4th Generation C-Class features a familiar Mercedes design language. The front and rear seats are covered in a choice of black, red, saddle brown or ivory white leather. Standard features on the Base model include 14-way power front seats, 2-zone automatic climate control, dual multi-information displays, cruise control, 8-speaker stereo audio system, rain sensing windscreen wipers, traction control, and stability control. Features on the higher variants include a panoramic roof as standard, heated front seats as standard, upgraded 13-speaker Burmester surround sound system as standard and a reversing camera as standard.
